This track was inspired by an interview, I watched, of my favourite Spiritual Teacher, Eckhart Tolle, on the Rubin Report. When interviewer Dave Rubin, asked Eckhart Tolle "What advice would you give to someone watching, who is in a state of chaos right now, to help them begin the process of enlightenment?" Eckhart says the best starting point is always the PRESENT MOMENT. He then goes on to say he would encourage to, "Come to your senses"- in both meanings of the expression. By becoming aware of our sense perceptions, and thus the body, it helps us to come into the present moment, where a deeper level of consciousness is always available to us now. Thus he encourages us to literally wake up, come to our senses and realise that the present moment is all we ever have.

The lyrics in this track portray the idea of not listening to the "little me stories" that the mind often likes to play on repeat, that keep us trapped in a state of unconsciousness. The mind is certainly important in our make up, but it is there to take instructions from the higher self, not to run the show completely!

Lyrics

Senses, senses, senses
Senses, senses, senses

Come to your senses
come to your senses.
Step into this moment
Come to your senses.

Oooohh- aaahhhhhh

Don't listen to the story of your mind
Aah- yaay- hey

Step into the present moment
Yeah, it's all you ever have
Wake up, come to your senses.

Chorus:
Come to your senses (don't listen to your mind)
Come to your senses.
Step into this moment (don't listen to your mind)
Come to your senses.

Don't listen to your mind
Don't listen to your mind.

Don't listen to your mind
Don't listen to your mind
Don't listen to your mind
Don't listen to your mind

Senses, senses, senses...

Chorus (repeat)

Wake up come to your senses
Don't listen to your mind.
